How it works
Your study journey in three parts
A clear, step-by-step path from your first conversation to your first week in New Zealand — with a milestone marking the end of each part.
Part 1 · Pre-visa
Choose well & secure your Offer of Place
- Share your study goal — preferred programme, intake, budget and your current study or work background.
- Meet your student adviser to talk through your goals, academic history and funding approach.
- Choose the right programme and provider — comparing entry requirements, level, campus, duration, tuition and intakes.
- Apply for your Offer of Place with your passport, academic evidence and English result where requested.
- Review the offer carefully — conditions, fees and refund terms — before accepting.
Milestone: your Offer of Place pathway is complete and visa preparation can begin.
Part 2 · During visa
Prepare, lodge & follow your application
- Build your visa plan — the correct pathway, submission timing, official fees and the evidence your circumstances require.
- Complete your visa document pack — identity, study, financial and genuine-intention evidence, all consistent.
- Complete health and character steps only when the current instructions require them.
- Get your documents professionally reviewed; where immigration advice is required it comes from a licensed immigration adviser.
- Lodge the application, pay the official fee and respond to any Immigration New Zealand requests by the deadline.
Milestone: your visa decision is received and the conditions on your eVisa are understood.
Part 3 · Post-visa
Get travel-ready, arrive & settle in
- Confirm enrolment and payments — required tuition receipts, final enrolment and orientation information.
- Choose travel dates from your eVisa's entry and travel conditions, and book flights, accommodation and transfer.
- Arrange insurance, money and health needs — provider insurance requirements, access to funds and any medicines.
- Complete the pre-departure checklist — travel folder, digital backups and the New Zealand Traveller Declaration.
- Arrive, check in with your support contacts and follow your provider's enrolment and orientation steps.
Milestone: your travel, arrival and provider check-in plans are confirmed.
